“I am one of your sleep center success stories. I went through a sleep study at the Glendale location. After 1 hour my O2 saturation went down to 78% I do not recall how much of that initial hour I was awake before nodding off. At the 1 hour point the medical person monitoring me and my data saw my O2 sat at 78 and decided that there was no reason to go the planned upon 4 hours of monitoring before going to the CPAP and monitoring. I had registered 66 events in that initial hour.
What must have been happening to my body, every night while trying to sleep while in at least that level of oxygen deprivation. I imagine that in my case, I may be getting some of my life back as it seems un-assisted sleeping was killing me. The statement about, “I’d give up a year of my life for a good nights sleep”? I think that the good nights sleep I am now getting with my CPAP (the automatically adjusting monitored unit) may just give me that year the my old sleep routine was taking away.” -Martin S., Glendale AZ.
