Pokémon Sleep is a sleep-tracking app that rewards the user with Pokémon depending on the quality of their sleep. The app was first released in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Latin American countries for Android and iOS on July 17, 2023.
Recently, a journalist from Sleepopolis came to me asking about gamifying sleep, and I noted that I love the idea of a game explaining sleep and that it would fun if it taught the different parts of the brain and eye signals that happen as we fall asleep/stay asleep. Perhaps it could measure the the sleep stages NONREM and REM, EEG & EOG wave patterns when we’re awake, falling asleep and then the game could take you through the different stages: Stage 1,2,3,4 and REM.
There could be interruptions (arousals) in the game but the goal of the game should be to get 7-9 hours (more hours depending on age, another part of the game)
Overall the game could show total sleep architecture based on things the gamer did to achieve uninterrupted sleep 😴 🛌
I love the idea! Lots of things that could be in the game promoting sleep and as a challenge, sleep interruptions
The game shouldn’t be played at night.
Do we have any gamers out there who have tried this app? We’d love to hear from you about it – send an email to our marketing department jc@marketingideals.com!
